Weed Mat (1.830m x 50m)

Weed mat is designed to suppress weed growth and create a secure base for mulch, gravel, and decorative stones. It is commonly used in garden beds, landscaping projects, under mulch or decorative stone, around trees and shrubs, on pathways, and on sloped areas.

To install weed mat, we recommend using U-shaped weed mat pins to secure it in place. Before you begin, measure your area so you know exactly how much weed mat you will require.

For the best results, start with a clean slate by removing as many weeds as possible before installation. Cut the weed mat to size using scissors, remembering to cut holes where your plants will be. Then use a hammer to secure the weed mat with the U-pins.

Once the weed mat is in place, you can spread your mulch or decorative rocks over the top.

A 1.83m × 50m roll covers approximately 91.5m². We also sell this product by the metre in-store, so you can simply purchase the amount you need cut directly from the roll.

We highly recommend covering your weed mat with mulch, bark, gravel, or decorative pebbles. Not only does this provide an extra layer of weed protection, but it also protects the weed mat from UV rays, helping to extend its lifespan.
