No, this Top Dress Sand with AmendMax is no longer USGA certified, as the particle size is finer than the USGA specifications require. It was originally built to USGA specifications, but is no longer certified and therefore cannot be marketed as meeting that standard.

To calculate how much Top Dress Sand with AmendMax you need for your project, measure the length and width of the area where the sand will be placed.

Next, determine the desired depth of sand. For top dressing lawns, we generally recommend a depth of approximately 5–10mm. Do not exceed 10mm, as you may smother your lawn. Your grass leaves still need to be poking through the top to catch the sun's rays.

Yes, you can. In fact, your turf should be established before you decide to top dress. We don't recommend top dressing straight after laying your lawn. Wait for your lawn to establish first, then make top dressing part of your yearly lawn maintenance routine.

AmendMax is a microbial fertiliser that improves exchange capacities in sand-based soils. Basically, this means it helps hold carbon (one of the most important elements for root growth) within the soil so it can be taken up by your turf over time rather than being washed away.

Top Dress Sand is best applied during the active growing season. In Queensland, this is generally from September to April.
