Rock ‘N’ Soil has a history almost as rich and colourful as its range of landscaping supplies. Some might remember us as Tingalpa Landscaping Supplies. Under this name, the business first opened its doors in 1981. We’re talking about a bygone era; a time when mullets ruled and we didn’t have to bring back the biff– because it was a way of life.
The company at this time was based around selling timber logs and was located on the corner of Manly and New Cleveland roads in Tingalpa (in the greater Brisbane region). Moving with the times, a need to diversify to a much wider range of landscaping supplies became apparent. Now we’ve gotten down to the nitty gritty with a wide range of landscaping supplies to suit your landscaping needs!

Our Story
Rock ‘n’ Soil began as Tingalpa Landscaping Supplies (TLS) in 1981. Tingalpa Landscaping Supplies was —and still is — known for its always on-time delivery with remarkable service.)
Over the decades, TLS grew along with Brisbane. We expanded north to open a second location at 1823 Anzac Avenue in Mango Hill, supporting the development of the North Lakes region and its fast-growing communities. Later, the original Tingalpa site relocated just down the road to where we proudly operate today — 1398 New Cleveland Road in Chandler.
The Sihota family brought a fresh vision when they purchased the business in the early 2000s. Already well-established in agriculture throughout Brisbane and the Redlands since the 1970s, they understood firsthand the value of quality soil and premium landscaping materials. Instead of compromising, they decided to lead by example — taking over the yard and lifting the standard. The team introduced the bold orange branding, re-energised the business as Rock ‘n’ Soil, and invested in growing the fleet so we could service every corner of Brisbane with ease.
Today, customers enjoy flexibility like never before — same-day delivery, bulk bag options, click-and-collect, online ordering and on-time arrival. These values have earned us our reputation as Brisbane’s most reviewed and highest-rated landscape yard.
