Reo Mesh F62 Half Sheet

F62 reinforcing mesh (Reo Mesh) is used to strengthen concrete and reduce cracking in residential foundation slabs, garden sheds, pathways, patios, small driveways, concrete pads, and footpaths.

F62 is an identifier code that defines the spacing and wire size of the Reo Mesh. F62 is a lighter-duty mesh, making it more suitable for light commercial, DIY, and residential projects.

An F62 Half Sheet measures 3m × 2.4m and, as the name suggests, is half the size of a full sheet (6m × 2.4m).

The average box trailer measures approximately 1.8m × 1.2m, so we recommend having this product delivered unless you have access to a flatbed trailer or truck. Half sheets are a popular choice for smaller projects as they are easier to transport and handle than full sheets.

The number of F62 Half Sheets required depends on the size of your concrete slab and the overlap needed between adjoining sheets. To calculate the number of sheets required, divide your total slab area (m²) by 7.2, as each half sheet covers 7.2m² before allowing for overlaps.

Things to remember

Mesh overlap: When installing Reo Mesh, allow for sheet overlap. Adjoining sheets should overlap by one square to help maintain the structural integrity of the concrete.

Bar chairs: To keep your mesh in the correct position within the concrete, remember to purchase bar chairs. You will typically need approximately 14–22 bar chairs per full sheet to provide adequate support and maintain the correct concrete cover.
