Mortar Mix is an easy-to-use pre-blended mix designed for a range of masonry applications, including:

• Brick and block laying
• Pointing and repairing brickwork
• Garden edging and retaining wall blocks
• General masonry construction
• Small DIY wall and paving projects

When preparing mortar, only mix the amount you can use within one hour, as it begins to set relatively quickly. Adding extra water to temper the mix it will weaken its strength.

If you are mixing by hand in a wheelbarrow, follow these steps:

STEP 1: Pour your required amount of Trade Mortar into your wheelbarrow and make a ‘well’ in the centre of the powder.

STEP 2: Add clean water to the mix, carefully following the instructions on the bag. Mix the water and mortar together until you achieve an even consistency.

STEP 3: Apply the mix with a trowel and wait until the mortar is dry to the touch. Once dry, you can rake or finish the mortar joints.

Note: Use your mortar mix immediately. If you allow the mortar to stand for a long period, re-tempering it with water will weaken it.
