If you're looking for something a little more decorative than drainage gravel, 25mm Crushed Limestone is a great alternative for residential driveways. It compacts well, provides good drainage, and creates a firm, attractive surface.

Recommended Depth: As a general guide, we recommend laying decorative stones at a depth of 40–50mm. However, the ideal depth will depend on your project and the size of the stones. Larger stones may require a deeper layer for even coverage, while smaller stones can often be laid slightly thinner.

Drainage gravel is available in a range of different sizes and is quarried specifically for drainage applications. It provides excellent water movement, is highly resistant to erosion, and absorbs heat from the sun during the day, helping moisture evaporate more quickly after rainfall.

Compared to drainage gravel, Crushed Limestone compacts into a firmer surface because of its angular particles, making it an excellent choice for pathways and driveways. It also offers good drainage and erosion resistance, although it is generally not as effective for high-flow drainage applications as dedicated drainage gravel.
