We recommend following the manufacturer's installation instructions for the specific requirements of your project. As a general guide, the basic installation process includes:

1. Excavate and prepare a level foundation.
2. Install and compact a suitable road base or gravel footing.
3. Lay the first course of blocks accurately and ensure they are level.
4. Stack additional blocks using the interlocking system while maintaining alignment.
5. Install suitable drainage behind the wall where required.
6. Backfill with appropriate material and compact as required.

The number of Adbri Natural Impressions Duostone Retaining Wall Blocks (Graphite) required depends on the length and height of your retaining wall. Each block measures 300 × 160 × 100mm, with approximately 33.33 blocks required per face square metre.

To calculate the quantity required, measure the total length and height of your retaining wall to determine the total face area in square metres. Multiply the total face area by 33.33 blocks per square metre to estimate the number of blocks required.

For example, a wall measuring 5m long × 0.7m high has a face area of 3.5m², requiring approximately 117 blocks before allowing for wastage.
