For 20kg bags, the supplier recommends allowing approximately 70 bags to cover 1m³.

To calculate how many bags of Kashmiri Black Polished Pebbles you'll need, first work out the volume of your project using the following formula:

Length (m) × Width (m) × Depth (m) = Cubic Metres (m³)

Once you have your cubic metre measurement, multiply it by 70 to estimate the number of 20kg bags required.

For example: 0.5m³ × 70 = 35 bags

The supplier recommends laying Kashmiri Black Polished Pebbles at a depth of:

  • 30–50mm for garden beds, borders and decorative bands.
  • 40–60mm around stepping stones and steppers.

The ideal depth will also depend on the size of the pebbles. Smaller pebbles can generally be laid at the lower end of the recommended depth, while larger pebbles usually require a thicker layer to achieve even coverage.

Note: These stones may be a bit dusty at first, wash them over with water after installation to get a true representation of the deep black colouring.
