Installing WedgeBLOK Garden Edging is straightforward once the area has been properly prepared. We recommend levelling and compacting the surface or base area before installation for the best results. The general installation process includes:

  1. Mark out the desired edging line.
  2. Prepare a level trench or compacted base.
  3. Place the WedgeBLOK units into position.
  4. Align the blocks to create a straight or curved edge.
  5. Secure and backfill around the edging where required.

Yes. WedgeBLOK Garden Edging can be used to create both straight and curved landscape borders. The blocks can even be arranged into fully circular mini walls, making them a great option for fire pit surrounds, tree surrounds, and circular garden beds. They can also be used where a curved edging barrier is required, such as around oddly shaped garden areas where straight edging would not work.

The amount of WedgeBLOK Garden Edging required depends on the total length and design of your project. Each WedgeBLOK unit measures approximately 160/120 × 140 × 125mm, with approximately 7.14 blocks required per linear metre when installed as a single course.

To calculate how many blocks you need:

  1. Measure the total length of your garden border in metres.
  2. Multiply the total length by 7.14 blocks per linear metre.
  3. Add extra blocks for corners, curves, cuts, and installation adjustments.

For example, a 5-metre garden border would require approximately 36 WedgeBLOK units for a single course.

Note: WedgeBLOK can also be used to create low retaining or feature walls, with a maximum non-reinforced wall height of 500mm (four courses when glued).
