Our Organic Sandstone Steppers are made from natural sandstone and are a popular choice for outdoor landscaping where a natural touch is required. These steppers are a great choice for garden pathways, stepping stone walkways, pool surrounds and entertaining areas, and in between garden beds.

The unique shaping and earthy look of these sandstone stepping stones blend beautifully with plants, gravel, mulch and other landscaping materials.

To install your Organic Sandstone Steppers, you first need to start with a stable base. For best results, we recommend the following:

Step 1: Plan the layout and spacing of the stepping stones.
Step 2: Prepare the ground by removing vegetation and levelling the area.
Step 3: Create a stable base using compacted material or sand.
Step 4: Position the steppers firmly in place.
Step 5: Adjust the height to ensure the stones sit securely and evenly.

Note: Steppers can be installed flush with the ground or slightly raised, depending on the desired landscape design.

The spacing between your Organic Sandstone Steppers depends on their intended use and your landscape design. As a general guide for comfortable walking paths, we recommend allowing approximately 500–700mm between the centres of each stepping stone.

Tip: Before permanently installing the steppers, we recommend placing your stones in position first and then testing the spacing yourself to ensure a natural and comfortable walking flow.

Their natural variation in colour, texture and shape ensures each landscape has a unique finish and makes them a versatile choice for a number of landscape designs.

One thing we recommend is sourcing an appropriate sealer for your stone if you would like to help maintain its colouring. If installed in an area that receives a lot of rain, a suitable sealant can also help protect the stone from mould and staining, which may be more noticeable on lighter-coloured sandstone.
