Bidim Filter Cloth, also known as geofabric, is a landscaping textile commonly used to:

  • Wrap drainage gravel in trenches
  • Line retaining wall drainage systems

This really depends on your project. As a general rule, we recommend using U-pins to secure your filter cloth, regardless of the application.

Bidim Filter Cloth is commonly used in French drains, as a filter layer in trench backfilling, or beneath decorative gravel and drainage aggregates. When installing multiple pieces of Bidum Filter Cloth, remember to allow for overlap at the joins for the smoothest finish.

At Rock N Soil, we sell our Bidim Filter Cloth by the metre from a 2m × 50m roll. One full roll provides approximately 100m² of coverage.

To calculate how much filter cloth you need for your project, measure the length and width of the area you want to cover, then use the following formula: Length × Width = Area (m²).
