Retractable Blade Utility Knife

The Supercraft Retractable Blade Utility Knife is a versatile tool that combines functionality and safety. This utility knife features a retractable blade, making it great for everyday use on the job site or around the home. It can be used for:

• Cutting cardboard and packaging
• Trimming carpet and vinyl
• Cutting plasterboard and insulation
• Scoring plastic and other building materials
•  General DIY, construction, and landscaping tasks

Changing the blade in the Supercraft Retractable Blade Utility Knife is super simple:

STEP 1: Extend the blade fully.

STEP 2: Release the blade by pressing the quick-release button. (This button is located in the middle of the knife body)

STEP 3: Carefully remove the old blade.

STEP 4: Insert a standard replacement utility blade and wait until you hear it click into place

STEP 5: Test the knife by extending and retracting the blade to make sure everything is secure.

Note: Before installing a new blade, check whether both edges of the old blade are blunt. If only one edge has been used, you can simply flip the blade over and use the other side.

The Supercraft Retractable Blade Utility Knife uses standard utility knife blades measuring approximately 60mm in length and 19mm in width. The blades feature the universal, classic notched trapezoid shape commonly used by most modern utility knives.

We sell replacement blades in-store, but because the knife uses standard blades, you should also be able to find compatible replacements at your local hardware store.

Yes. A retractable utility knife is safer than a fixed-blade knife because the blade can be retracted when it is not in use and locked into the retracted position if required.
