Adbri - Versawall Retaining Wall Blocks

Adbri Versawall Retaining Wall Blocks are textured rectangular retaining wall blocks commonly used for garden retaining walls, raised garden beds, tiered landscaping areas, creating level areas on sloping blocks, and boundary or feature walls.

Their interlocking design and versatile shape make them a popular retaining wall option for residential landscaping projects.

Adbri Versawall Retaining Wall Blocks can be used to build vertical retaining walls up to 800mm high without reinforcement. Engineered walls can be built up to 1,400mm high using No-Fines Concrete.

The suitable height for your project will also depend on factors such as soil conditions, drainage requirements, site conditions, and the design of the retaining wall.

Adbri Versawall Retaining Wall Blocks are installed by preparing a stable foundation and building the wall course by course. The general installation process includes:

1. Excavate and prepare a level base.
2. Install and compact a suitable gravel or road base foundation.
3. Lay the first course of blocks accurately, ensuring they are level and aligned.
4. Stack additional blocks using the interlocking system while maintaining the correct alignment.
5. Install suitable drainage behind the wall where required.
6. Backfill with appropriate material and compact as required.

The number of Adbri Versawall Retaining Wall Blocks required depends on the length and height of your retaining wall. Each block measures 400mm (L) × 215mm (W) × 200mm (H). Based on the 400mm block length and 200mm block height, you need approximately 12.5 blocks per face square metre before allowing for corners, cuts, and wastage.

To calculate the quantity required, measure the total length and height of your retaining wall to determine the total face area in square metres. Multiply the total face area by 12.5 blocks per square metre to estimate the number of blocks required.

For example, a wall measuring 5m long × 0.8m high has a face area of 4m², requiring approximately 50 blocks before allowing for wastage.

Note: We recommend allowing approximately 5–10% extra blocks for cuts, corners, breakages, installation adjustments, and future replacements.
