Slash Pine Fines

Consists of small pieces of pine bark up to 10mm in size. Slash Pine Fines (also known as Softfall) is the perfect certified product for under playground equipment. Perfect also for garden beds if you prefer the appearance of the finer bark chip. Slash Pine Fines is perfect for using in parks, schools, playgrounds and in your own backyard. This fine mulch is soft and cushiony to the touch and stable when compacted to absorb impacts from falls, and to minimise the potential for head injury. Made from premium slash pine trees, this blend is approved by the council and certified to Australian Standards. Certification documentation is available on request for commercial projects where it is required.

Not only is this blend safe for the kids, it also helps groundskeepers and gardeners by reducing weed growth and protecting topsoil from high winds and leaching due to flooding.

Notes: When using in and around playgrounds check the guidelines in the Australian Standards for the correct depth of loose-fill surfaces; there is usually a minimum depth of 300mm or more dependent on possible fall heights.
